Tyler Robinson, accused of murdering Charlie Kirk, allegedly spent weeks plotting the attack, even engraving the bullets he intended to use. This startling information emerged from testimony provided by his transgender girlfriend during court proceedings on Thursday.
Lance Twiggs, who was Robinson’s roommate and boyfriend, stated in a pre-recorded testimony that about a month prior to the shooting, Robinson had inquired whether Twiggs owned a Dremel engraving tool. He mentioned wanting to “write a message on a bullet” ahead of the attack on Kirk, a co-founder of the conservative group Turning Point USA.
“I can’t recall the exact timing, but he mentioned going hunting with his family,” Twiggs shared in the video presentation during the hearing. “He asked if I had a Dremel or something like that… because he wanted to engrave a message on the bullet.”
On Thursday, prosecutors highlighted markings found on ammunition retrieved from the location of the rifle believed to have been used in Kirk’s violent killing. One bullet discovered was inscribed with “Nautis Bulge.” Other rounds bore messages such as “Hey, Fascist,” “Catch,” and “O bella ciao,” among others.
Robinson reportedly confessed to Twiggs through a series of text messages that he had been planning to kill Kirk for over a week before the incident, which occurred during the Turning Point USA event on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University.
“If they had been able to retrieve the rifle discreetly, they wouldn’t have left any evidence… We’ll attempt to recover it again. I hope they’ve moved on,” Robinson stated in a message. “I haven’t seen anything in the news suggesting they’ve located it. I’ll keep you posted by midnight.”
“Alright,” Twiggs responded. “Please ensure your safety.”
In another message, Twiggs asked, “How long have you been planning this?”
“I think a little over a week now. I can get close, but there’s a police car parked right next to me,” Robinson replied. “I believe they’ve already checked that area, but I don’t want to take any risks.”
