Trump's transition team quickly responded to Monday's decision, vowing to appeal. They also took aim at what they described as the “political weaponization” of the court.
“The American people re-elected President Trump with overwhelming authority, demanding an immediate end to the political weaponization of our judicial system, and an immediate dissolution of all Democrat-funded witch hunts, including the Carol Hoax. The case will continue to be appealed,” Stephen Chan, Trump's transition press secretary and incoming White House communications director, told Fox News in a statement on Monday.
