Trump Addresses Oil Production and Iran Conflict

In a recent address regarding the conflict with Iran, President Trump claimed that the United States outpaces both Saudi Arabia and Russia in oil and gas production. He stated, “Thanks to our ‘Drill Baby Drill’ program, America has an abundance of gas.” Under his leadership, he insisted that the U.S. holds the title of the top producer of oil and gas globally, also mentioning significant imports from Venezuela.

“Thanks to the Trump administration’s policies, we produce more oil and gas than Saudi Arabia and Russia combined,” he declared. “There is no other country like us in the world. We are in great shape for the future.”

Trump also noted that “the United States imports almost no oil” through the Strait of Hormuz, insisting that it will “never import any oil.” He emphasized, “We don’t need it. We didn’t need it,” and stated, “We have defeated and completely destroyed Iran. Iran is devastated militarily and economically.”

“And the countries of the world that receive oil through the Strait of Hormuz must be sensitive to that passage,” he noted. “They should take the initiative to protect the oil they so desperately depend on.”

He suggested that the first step is for countries without fuel access to “buy oil from the United States,” of which there are many. Additionally, he urged them to gather the courage to “go to the Channel and just take it.”

Reiterating that “Iran has been virtually destroyed,” Trump argued that “the hard part is over, so it should be easy.” He added, “Once this conflict is over, the strait will open on its own.” According to him, Iran will want to sell oil to rebuild, leading to the resumption of oil supplies and a swift decline in gas prices.

Addressing the recent spike in U.S. gasoline prices, Trump explained that it is mainly due to Iranian terrorist attacks on commercial oil tankers in neighboring regions. “This is proof that Iran can never be trusted with nuclear weapons,” he asserted.
