Limited Edition Passport to Feature Trump for 250th Anniversary

The U.S. Department of State has revealed plans to release a special edition passport showcasing President Donald Trump’s portrait and signature on the inside cover. This initiative marks the celebration of the country’s 250th anniversary.

The concept for the passport has been in discussion for several months before getting the green light. The Passport Office in Washington, D.C., is set to issue between 25,000 and 30,000 of these new passports, available to applicants just ahead of July 4th.

“As the United States commemorates its 250th anniversary in July, the State Department is gearing up to unveil a limited number of U.S. passports specially designed for this historic occasion,” said Tommy Piggott, a State Department spokesperson.

“These passports will include custom artwork and enhanced imagery, all while retaining the security features that make the U.S. passport the most secure documentation globally,” he noted.

The current iteration of the U.S. passport pays homage to the nation’s history with a combination of iconic visuals and impactful words. It features portraits and images of figures like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln, alongside notable representations of Mount Rushmore.

In addition to these prominent figures, the passport displays essential American landmarks and symbols such as the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall. It even showcases expansive views of the Great Plains, rugged mountain ranges, and tropical islands.

To embody the nation’s principles, the passport also includes significant quotes from figures such as Martin Luther King Jr., along with presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Dwight D. Eisenhower.

“It’s an honor for the department to introduce the America the Beautiful Pass, which celebrates America’s 250th anniversary and the generations that have safeguarded our land,” stated Secretary Doug Burgum in a video released on the department’s website.

“President Trump’s new patriotic passport design offers another wonderful opportunity for Americans to engage in the grand celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary,” added a spokesperson from the White House. “President Trump continues to champion a revival of national pride and patriotism during this remarkable anniversary,” the spokesperson remarked.
