U.S. Troops Begin Construction of Biden’s Gaza Aid Pier

Construction has begun on a pier that the U.S. military will use to bring humanitarian supplies into the Gaza Strip, the Pentagon confirmed Thursday.

“We can confirm that there are U.S. military vessels, including the USNS.” Benavidezhas begun initial construction of a temporary offshore pier and embankment,” said Pentagon spokesman Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder. Said.

UPI said that once the pier is complete, it will initially have a daily capacity of about 90 aid trucks, which is expected to expand to 150 trucks per day.

As Breitbart News reported, President Joe Biden first announced plans for the U.S. to build the pier during his State of the Union address in March.

This is despite the Israeli government repeatedly pointing out that unrestricted aid is already flowing into the Gaza Strip. The problem is distribution, especially since Hamas terrorists steal much of the aid.

And the White House itself acknowledged at a briefing that trucking aid is a more efficient and effective approach. Despite this, U.S. Navy ships are still heading to the Eastern Mediterranean with construction equipment.

Approximately 1,000 US soldiers are participating in this mission.

The UPI report concluded that senior military officials said they expected the mission to take several months.
