Sean Strickland isn't just notorious for his ferocity in the arena. He is also an assassin with his words, especially when faced with the utter nonsense of progressivism.
At a press conference ahead of a bout between Strickland and South African fighter Drikas du Plessis, the former UFC middleweight champion confronted a Canadian reporter over his earlier comments about potentially having a gay son.
“A few years ago, you said, 'If I had a gay son…'” the reporter began before interrupting Strickland.
“You're a weak fucking man, dude. You're part of this fucking problem,” Strickland shot back before slamming Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his horrible policies. “[Trudeau] Shut down the country, seize bank accounts, and ask me all that stupid stuff? ”
Dave Rubin may not agree with everything Strickland says, but he praises the “Trump-style” way he silenced woke reporters.
“Of course, the problem with woke people is that they're so obsessed with these fake social issues that they actually ignore the real tyranny,” he said, referring to Trudeau's authoritarian rule over Canada. he says.
Strickland's comments during the press conference caused immediate controversy, but UFC president and CEO Dana White was unfazed. In fact, he had a shining moment when he silenced a woke reporter who was hoping he would publicly denounce Strickland's comments.
“Obviously you're giving the fighters a long leash as to what they can say. Even though they're there with a microphone in the UFC and you're getting into homophobic and transphobic territory, it's like… It’s like you’re there…” the reporter began before White could interject.
“I don't give anyone a leash,” he corrected, citing the right to free speech. “Do I control what people say and tell them what to believe? There are no restrictions. What is your question?”
“Move on,” the reporter muttered, stunned.
“Well, that's probably a good idea. It's stupid to give anyone the lead. It's freedom of speech, brother. People can say whatever they want to say and believe what they want to believe,” White countered. and, in fact, silenced the above-mentioned person.
According to Dave, White's position is not only “totally correct,” but also “the way we always did it before this woke thing completely infected everything.”
