According to global groups, the United Nations is once again under the microscope to condemn Israel for attacking Israel as it has chosen to suppress its footprint in Gaza.
A spokesman for Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a statement saying the United Nations has “made a difficult decision to reduce the organization's footprint in Gaza” even if “humanitarian needs rise.”
UN spokesman Stephen Dujaric argued that the “currently available information” suggested that the strike against the UN Deira al-Bara compound on March 19 was “from Israeli tanks.” One UN employee was killed and six others were injured in the incident, Dujarric said.

On the date of the incident, the Israeli Defense Force tweeted, “Contrary to the report, the IDF did not attack the UN compounds with Deia El Bala.” The IDF asked the media to “act carefully regarding unverified reports.”
The IDF told Fox News Digital Monday that the UN's claims were “absolutely not accurate.”
His statement was named Israel, but there was a lack of naming terrorist group Hamas or other extremist groups operating in Gaza. “The location of this UN compound was well known to the parties to the conflict,” Dujaric continued. “I repeat that all parties to the conflict are bound by international law to protect the absolute inviolability of UN facilities. Without this, our colleagues face an unbearable risk when working to save the lives of civilians.” Dujarric added, “The Secretary-General strongly condemns these strikes and calls for a complete, thorough and independent investigation into the case.”

Joe Tolsman, a Foundation Research Analyst for Democracy, told Fox News Digital that Dujaric's statement “has given the impression that the UN and other Palestinian terrorist groups intentionally avoided criticising them for fear of friction with armed groups.” Authorities said in October.
On March 23, IDF killed Ismail Barhoum, a member of Hamas Politburo. After media outlets, including Al Jazeera, claimed that Balham was undergoing treatment at the hospital, IDF International spokesman Lt. Col. Nadab Shoshani tweeted that Balham “has been in “meeting with other terrorists and senior figures from the terrorist organization” while he remains in the hospital for weeks.”

Truzman said the IDF's explanation was “very plausible.”
“Hamas is very skilled at persuading the public that it won't work from private infrastructure. It's clearly a false claim,” Tolsman said. He “were witnessing it for years,” he said in the tactics, “Hamas and its allies intentionally embedded themselves in civilian regions to avoid detection.”

“The public must understand that Hamas' top priority is not protecting Palestinian civilians, but ensuring the survival of Muslim groups,” Tolzman said.
The conflict has returned to Gaza following a ceasefire and partial hostage exchange, in which 25 lives and eight dead hostages returned to Israel and about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners were released. With support from the Trump White House, Israel put pressure on Hamas to extend the ceasefire earlier this month, cutting down humanitarian aid to Gaza to release hostages.
