Underwater scooter once sold online by Costco, Walmart recalled due to fire risk

Spring Breakers may use underwater scooters under recall notification via Costco.

“We recently discovered safety with a Sublue Mix underwater scooter battery manufactured between June 2018 and March 2024.

“From a wealth of attention, we will actively launch a recall programme to upgrade all affected users to a new generation of safer batteries.

The California-based company says device models Mixaw01, MixAB01 and MIXSB01 have been affected by the recall.

When the company receives the old battery, it ships the new battery to its customers.

Customers were reminded not to throw old batteries into the trash cans or use third-party batteries as an alternative to underwater scooters.

“Underwater scooters allow scuba divers, snorkelers and freedivers to travel through the water because they have less energy exercise and less oxygen usage.”
