Illegal Alien Arrested for Bomb Threat Against Congress

An illegal immigrant has been apprehended after making disturbing bomb threats to members of Congress, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Rigoberto Albizar-Martinez, a 58-year-old Cuban residing illegally in Tampa, was taken into custody by ICE over the weekend.

DHS stated that Albizar-Martinez specifically threatened to bomb Representative Kathy Castor’s office. This individual has a previous conviction for leaving offensive and racist voicemails in December, which resulted in a year-long prison sentence.

Local news outlet WFLA quoted a threatening message in Spanish from Albizar-Martinez, where he ominously declared, “I’m going to plant a bomb in your office,” alongside other insults aimed at various groups, including Democrats and pro-Palestinians.

Tricia McLaughlin, the DHS Deputy Chief, stated that “there is no place for political violence in America.” She emphasized the importance of removing such threats, saying, “Thanks to the brave men and women of ICE, this illegal alien is no longer a national security risk.”

Castor has not responded publicly to requests for her comment on this incident.

Over the same weekend, several other individuals with criminal histories were also apprehended by ICE, including child predators and gang members. Among them were immigrants from Chile, Germany, and Mexico, with some facing serious charges such as child pornography and sexual assault.

In various states, ICE has been active in targeting and arresting illegal immigrants involved in severe crimes, including a recent arrest of an individual from Nicaragua convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

These actions come amid ongoing criticism of ICE from some groups, who accuse the agency of racially profiling and terrorizing communities. Despite this, DHS has highlighted the significant enforcement actions taken as part of a broader initiative to enhance public safety.

As the DHS noted, since January 20th, there have been considerable efforts to manage illegal immigration, with millions reportedly either self-reporting or having been removed from the country. This, they claim, is a significant milestone in immigration enforcement.
