Hamas leader Khalid Mashal’s bold declaration of rejection of the two-state solution is nothing new.
Hamas has repeatedly insisted that a two-state solution is not the solution, but it falls on deaf ears in the United States.
“We have nothing to do with a two-state solution,” Mashal was heard saying on Memri TV. “We reject this idea, because it means that even though we can get a promise for a Palestinian state, we need to recognize the legitimacy of the other state, which is a Zionist entity. Because it means something.”
Mark Levin also doesn’t believe the two-state solution is right, but not for the same reasons.
“What exactly does it look like in this second state?” Levin asks. “Thanks to Iran, it will be an armed camp on the border with state-of-the-art missiles, state-of-the-art jets and nuclear weapons.”
“It will be hordes of men ready to rush into Israel at any time and rape and pillage at any time, because Israel cannot defend its borders; Because you can’t. Surrender 30% of your country,” he continues.
“Israel should accept this.”
Neither Israel nor Hamas want this solution, but Hamas’ reasoning is that they want Israel to disappear, and so do those who fund them.
“Iran doesn’t care about a two-state solution with the Palestinians,” Levin said. “But Iran wants the Palestinians there, and Turkey also has an objective to eliminate Israel and destroy the Jewish people.”
Khalid Mashal said Hamas agrees not to a two-state solution but to a fully independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and a right of return.
“This is coming from a Hitlerite and genocidal leader who cannot point to any historical, biblical or legal justification for the so-called misnomer Palestinians to own an inch of land. , the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people,” Levin explains.
