According to Fox News senior strategic analyst and retired General Jack Keane, the United States is embarking on a path not seen since World War II, warning that “we are on the road to World War III.”
His comments came amid conflicts in the Middle East and Europe and rising tensions in the Pacific, and echoed warnings from former President Trump that the US is “heading into World War III territory”.
“I don't respond to what candidates say because I don't want to influence my voters,” Keane told Fox Business' Stuart Varney, but he said a recent congressional committee meeting he sat on about the Biden administration's defense strategy made it clear that the threat of a new major war is very real.

“And they perceive the U.S. to be weak, and they're going to take advantage of that. So their perception of the U.S. is what motivates them.”
Keane also noted that the outbreak of conflicts in the Middle East and Europe and China's intensifying aggression are no coincidence.
“Russia's invasion of Ukraine is not an isolated event, marking the first major war in Europe since World War Two,” he said.
