Second Lady Ushavance has been selected to lead the presidential delegation to Italy for the 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games, the President Donald Trump's Office announced Thursday.
Vance will lead the delegation to Turin, Italy, the host city of this year's games. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday.
USHA is a lawyer who has been married to Vice President JD Vance since 2014.
They have three children.
Usha was sitting next to former high school volleyball player Payton McNabb in Trump's speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night.
McNabb told Fox News Digital that she was “grief” when she learned that Trump's executive order on trans athlete women and women's sports was not successful in the law by the Senate.
“Overall, the Democrats were very rude last night,” McNabb said in relation to a party member who wore pink during a joint session of Congress.
“And they weren't standing up to any of the guests. They didn't stand up to DJ Daniel, a boy who survived a brain tumor. They didn't stand up to the family of Laken Riley, who suffered a traumatic death that his daughter's daughter would literally never have happened. And there was a kind of powerful story to all of the other guests there, and they didn't applaud any of them.”
“So it was heartbreaking and honestly I wish I had been surprised, but I am not,” she concluded.
According to the White House, other members of the presidential delegation are:
Sean Crowley, Charge da a a a a a a a, Italy and San Marino to the US Embassy. Trent Michael Morse, assistant assistant to the president and vice-director for the president. Riley M. Burns, Director of the Democracy, Human Rights and Labor Bureau, US State Department; Douglas Benning, Consul General, US Consulate Milan, Italy. Rachel Campos-Duffy, host of “Fox & Friends Weekend” and our wife. Transport Secretary Sean Duffy. Boris Epstein, Senior Advisor and Senior Advisor to President Donald Trump. Richard Walters, partner at FGS Global.
