Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance accused the mainstream media of trying to portray Harris as “the second coming of Abraham Lincoln.”
The Ohio senator made the remarks at a rally in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, on Thursday.
“I just can’t get over how dishonest the American media has been about Kamala Harris. This is the craziest thing,” Vance said at the rally. “Now we’ve had three and a half years of […] Democratic leaders across the country spoke out, the American media backed it up, and President Biden has been the most astute man we’ve had in three and a half years, remember that?

Since being selected by former President Donald Trump as his running mate, Vance has frequently spoken out about his deep distrust of the mainstream media.
Vance said in an interview on Fox News on Wednesday that he would like to have multiple debates with vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, but made a distinction between “real” and “fake” debates.

Walz spoke at a rally for Democratic presidential candidates at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“As you mentioned, we’ve hired him as a combat correspondent, so [Vance’s] “The title,” Keilar told CNN colleague Dana Bash on Thursday, “but if you dig a little deeper, he was a public relations professional who had never been in combat. Certainly the title ‘combat correspondent’ carries some kind of different connotation. So maybe he’s an imperfect communicator in that respect.”
“Brianna, this is horrible. You and your entire network should be ashamed of yourself,” Vance wrote to X. “I got the call to go to Iraq and I went. Tim Waltz said he had guns in the war. Did he really? No, that’s a lie.”
