Allegations of Political Assassination and Confessions
A condemned political assassin, Vance Bolter, has reportedly sent a bizarre confession to FBI Director Kash Patel, alleging that Governor Tim Waltz encouraged him to target Democrats in a plot against him.
This handwritten note emerged on Tuesday, following accusations that Bolter harassed former Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark at their home in Minneapolis on June 14.
In his letter, Bolter introduces himself as “Dr. Vance Luther” and refers to himself as a “Minnesota shooter.”
He claimed to have been “employed by the US military” since his college days, asserting that he had undertaken various “line of service” missions globally.
According to the letter, he mentioned being approached regarding a project involving Governor Waltz, stating, “Tim wanted Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith to kill him.”
Amid his wild accusation, Bolter also noted that a memo, discovered in his abandoned SUV, was first reported last month following his arrest. It detailed the events leading up to the shooting of Hortman and her husband.
Earlier that evening, Bolter is said to have shot at State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, though they fortunately survived the attack.
The exact motives behind Bolter’s targeting of the two couples remain unclear, as his letter did not provide any specific reasons.
Last week, he claimed his actions had no ties to President Trump or abortion but refrained from detailing what actually drove him to commit such violence.
“There’s scant evidence to explain his shift toward political violence and extremism,” noted his attorney, Joseph Thompson, following Bolter’s indictment.
An additional note surfaced: a list containing names of Minnesota politicians, officials from other states, along with names of lawyers from national law firms.
A spokesperson for Governor Walz remarked to the Washington Post that “this tragedy deeply impacts all Minnesotans.”
