Vice President JD Vance took the stage to promote Trump administration's achievements within the first 30 days at the 2025 Conservative Political Action Conference that began Thursday.
Over a wide range InterviewVance outlined three important achievements. It's about reducing border crossings significantly, unlocking American energy, and reducing federal waste through government efficiency.
“We really need to unleash the engine of America's growth.”
Vance joked that the only thing President Donald Trump has failed to resolve was CNN's assessment crisis.
“I think CNN had more executive orders than they had viewers,” he said. “That may be one thing the president couldn't save: CNN's assessment.”
Vance said that due to Trump's actions, the intersection at the border is “well over 90%.”
“And we're just starting out,” he declared.
Vance said the administration's message to drug traffickers is to “go out of our country and out of hell.”
“Your freeride is over,” he added. “Unfortunately, you had President Joe Biden who allowed the United States to run freely, and Donald Trump said you said terrorist organizations. We'll chase you.”
Vance also discussed the administration's efforts to ensure the country's energy independence.
“[Trump] We realise that we really have to unlock the engine of America's growth. We must return to having a growth economy that produces good jobs and high wages for Americans. Many of them go back to “drills, babies, drills.” More about energy under President Trump's leadership than in historic administrations. And that's not an exaggeration. ”
He noted that Trump has already made great strides in reducing government waste.
“Of course, I think it's the third thing he tried to do with Elon's help. [Musk] And all the great people in Doge are asking what we do with all the money of American taxpayers. Vance said. That's actually what your taxes were funded until very recently. ”
