Vance Tells Kamala Harris to ‘Go to Hell’ for Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal

Republican presidential candidate and Marine Corps veteran Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio on Wednesday had harsh words for Vice President Kamala Harris over President Joe Biden and his administration's failure to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

“It's disgraceful that 13 Americans have lost their lives and not a single person has been fired. Kamala Harris was asleep at the wheel, didn't even investigate what happened, and just wants to yell at Donald Trump when he shows up,” he said.

“She should go to hell!”

His comments came after Harris' campaign criticized former President Donald Trump for visiting the families of Gold Star recipients who lost loved ones during a hastily scheduled withdrawal after US troops were targeted by a suicide bomber.

After major media outlets reported that President Trump met with bereaved families at Arlington Cemetery and that there was an altercation between cemetery officials and Trump campaign staff over photo and videography at the ceremony, Harris' campaign called it “deeply disappointing” and criticized the former president.

Families of fallen soldiers who were invited to the memorial by President Trump released a statement saying he had given permission for his official videographer and photographer to film the ceremony.

They said in a statement:

We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to President Donald J. Trump for his attendance and the recent Section 60 rally in memory of our children and their fallen brothers and sisters.

“We authorized President Trump's official videographer and photographer to participate in this ceremony to ensure that these sacred moments of remembrance were respectfully recorded and that we can cherish these memories forever. We are deeply grateful to the President for taking the time to honor our children and for standing with us in our grief and for his unwavering support during such a difficult time. His thoughtfulness and respect meant more than words can express.
