Venezuelan migrant charged with raping boss’s teen daughter

A Venezuelan immigrant who entered the United States illegally has been accused of raping his boss's 14-year-old daughter, who lived in the basement of his Colorado home, a Department of Homeland Security official told the Post.

Jesus Alberto Pereira Castillo (20) arrested in Denver on Tuesday after being on the run for nearly three months on sexual assault charges, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Police were initially called to the home where Castillo was temporarily living on Aug. 29. Forced and sexually assaulted a “14-year-old'' girl That night. However, by the time the police arrived, he had already disappeared.

“He left the residence before officers arrived,” the sheriff's office said.

Detectives eventually tracked him to Denver (adjacent to Jefferson County to the east) and arrested him this week.

Homeland Security officials said Castillo illegally crossed the border into El Paso, Texas, in September 2023, but was released by Border Patrol agents because there was no room for further detention.

The Venezuelan migrant was scheduled to head to Orlando, but ended up in Colorado, where he was arrested in May on suspicion of possessing forgery, counterfeiting and theft tools, sources said.

Sources said ICE applied for Castillo's arrest following the sexual assault. He is currently in custody at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Denver has welcomed 40,000 immigrants since December 2022, the most new arrivals per capita in the nation.

As a result, migrant crimes linked to the Venezuelan gang Torren de Aragua have affected the sanctuary city and its nearby Aurora, where the gang has taken over apartment complexes and committed heinous crimes.

There is no indication from authorities that Castillo had any gang ties.
