Veteran Claims She Was Kicked Off Delta Flight over ‘Threatening’ Shirt

A California veteran was apparently removed from a Delta Airlines flight Wednesday because of the shirt he was wearing.

U.S. Marine Corps veteran Katherine Banks was supposed to be on a flight departing from San Francisco International Airport when a flight attendant caught her attention, NBC Bay Area reported. reported on Thursday.

Banks said she became confused when the male flight attendant told her she needed to get off the plane.

As she exited the plane and was on the jet bridge, the flight attendant allegedly got her attention and told her why he had asked her to disembark. “He said that shirt you're wearing is a threat,” Banks recalled.

I said, “Are you kidding me? I'm a Marine Corps veteran. I'm going to see my sister who is a Marine. I served 22 years in the Marines and 15 years in the Air Force. “I'm going to visit,'' he said. “I'm not interested in your services, and I'm not interested in hers either. “I feel like they stole my soul,” Banks told the magazine. “I'm not a bad person and that T-shirt should be allowed to support myself and our veterans. ”
