The company made the announcement on Instagram, telling fans it is “hearing” calls for the return of large-scale production runway shows.
“We read the comments and heard what you thought. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back. Today’s Us Plus What You Know: Glamour, Runway, Wings, Musical Entertainment and More and everything you love. Stay tuned…it gets even more iconic from here,” the company wrote.
The fashion show was an annual highlight from 1995 to 2018, featuring the world’s top models including Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bündchen, Claudia Schiffer, and Tyra Banks. in style report.
But in the face of a wave of woke critics and left-wing activists, the fashion brand canceled the show in 2019.
At the time, Victoria’s Secret executives said they canceled the fashion show to “evolve the messaging” of their brand, which had come under fire from the left for not featuring transgender and plus-size models. .
Given this week’s preview of the show’s return and the message that the show “reflects who we are today,” it’s likely that the show will feature transgender and many plus-size models.
In fact, the same year it canceled its annual fashion show, the company began featuring transgender models in its print and online ads.
The revamped Vamp Show is scheduled for this fall, the company reported.
