Threat Against Trump Prompted Secret Service Response

Recently, reports surfaced about a “credible threat” from Iran against President Donald Trump, leading the Secret Service to switch the Air Force One designated for his travel from Ankara, Turkey, to a military plane headed to Britain. In light of this, actor Anthony Anderson, filling in for Jimmy Kimmel on ABC, made some controversial comments regarding Trump.

Anderson took a jab at Trump by referencing a misinterpreted CNN headline concerning a report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration about U.S. temperatures. He played a montage of Trump claiming the U.S. is “the hottest country in the world.” During the show, Anderson remarked, “Well, all I’m saying is wait until he rots in hell,” eliciting cheers from the audience.

He also humorously mentioned Turkey, stating, “Just when you think you’ve heard all the crazy things there are to know about this president, he always finds a way to surprise you.” Anderson went on to discuss how, after the recent NATO summit, Trump reportedly hid in a catering cart to exit Turkey due to security concerns. “Let’s just give it up. Let’s leave it to the Secret Service. Do you know how hard it is to sneak a pig out of Turkey?” he joked.

Continuing with his humor, Anderson likened Trump’s exit from Air Force One to boarding Jeffrey Epstein’s plane. He showed footage of Trump sliding into a catering truck and quipped, “I’m no national security expert, but if you were trying to find Donald Trump, the first thing you’d look for would be a catering truck. Now hide his ass in a bookstore.”

Meanwhile, President Trump responded to inquiries from reporters about the incident at Joint Base Andrews. He mentioned he was following the guidance of the Secret Service and hinted at wanting to take a different flight for safety reasons. “I think that’s it. It was a threat outside,” he said, adding that he hadn’t paid too much attention to the details of the threat but acknowledged its seriousness.
