Tattoo Parlor Sparks Outrage for Refusing Service to Military and Law Enforcement
A tattoo studio in Largo, Florida has found itself at the center of controversy after stating it will not serve military or law enforcement personnel.
The backlash followed a post on Revival Tattoo Collective’s Facebook page, which garnered significant attention, as reported by WTSP.
The post included some blunt language. The owner expressed strong opinions about military and law enforcement, referring to them in less than flattering terms. They stated, “People have their own feelings about the military and law enforcement because I expressed my opinion. My opinion is that the military is a bunch of war criminals and law enforcement kills babies and unarmed civilians on the streets. If you don’t like my opinion, you can change it. I’m not going to call you short, post records from 20 years ago, threaten the Department of Health, and use homophobic slurs. It only proves my point and shows the true character of our military. Thank you for showing your truth.
The post added, “One more time for those who are slow,” paired with a middle finger emoji aimed at the military. It concluded with a clear message: “if you are a former military member or currently serving, please do not come to the store. You will be turned away.”
Social media users quickly reacted. Some defended the owner’s right to free speech, while others criticized the stance. One comment read, “LOL, it must be so peaceful to be so ignorant.”
On Thursday, the building where the tattoo parlor is located remained open. A man at the site, claiming to be the homeowner, stated he had never heard owner Brady Martinson make negative remarks about military or police. When contacted for comment, Martinson’s response was rather terse: “no comment” and “just run the article.” Interestingly, when asked about his identity, the individual replied, “Brady’s attorney,” leaving questions unanswered.
Previously, on Veterans Day 2025, President Donald Trump praised veterans at Arlington National Cemetery, saying, “For generations, America’s warriors have left the comforts of home and family to face violence, evil, and death so that their families could know joy, goodness, and peace. We hold them in high esteem.”
He added that these veterans have given their all for the freedom of the nation. A Pew Research Center report from February 2024 indicated that 60 percent of Americans believe the military has a positive impact.
During National Police Week in May, the White House highlighted the bravery of law enforcement, asserting their respect and support under President Trump’s leadership, stating they would not be “defunded, demonized, or betrayed by the radical left.”
