Video shows Nevada man leap and attack Clark County judge after being denied probation

A judge and sheriff in Clark County, Nevada, were injured Wednesday afternoon when a defendant who was denied bail threw himself into the courtroom and attacked the judge, according to video.

fox 5 According to Las Vegas reports, a Clark County District Court spokesperson said the incident occurred while Judge Mary Kay Holthus was sentencing Deobra Redden.

Police said Redden was charged with attempted assault resulting in serious bodily injury.

In a video obtained by FOX News Digital, Redden's attorney asks a judge to grant his client a suspended sentence.

Judge Holthus responded, “I think it's time for him to try something else.”

Redden was then seen flying into the air over the bench with his limbs spread wide and landing on the judge.
