On Thursday, Dallas riot police were called to the American Airlines Center where socialist protesters were reportedly blocking traffic in opposition to the Republican Midterm Convention.
President Donald Trump is set to address the gathering, which aims to energize Republican supporters as the midterm elections approach—just 53 days away—and may influence control of Congress.
‘These losers are about to learn the HARD way that this BS WILL NOT be tolerated in Texas!’
Outside the convention, tensions flared as protesters confronted Trump supporters, prompting police intervention. Multiple independent journalists documented the unfolding events.
One clip shows a masked individual holding an Antifa flag while another displayed a sign stating, “Down with billionaires. We need socialism.”
Charles Downs, an independent journalist, noted, “Antifa has arrived at the anti-Trump, anti-RNC convention protest in Dallas,” adding a concerning detail that several Antifa members expressed no regret over the incident involving Charlie Kirk, who was killed a year prior by an alleged supporter.
Downs also recorded a confrontation between the masked protesters and at least two individuals identified as Christians.
“Antifa members outside the RNC Midterm Convention in Dallas, Texas, in full military gear, formed ranks and started confronting Christians while also lunging at me,” he stated.
Another activist, Nick Sortor, captured a scene where hundreds of protesters were blocking roads prior to the arrival of riot police who responded to the situation.
“Dallas Riot Police are rolling in HEAVY to confront leftist rioters who are BLOCKING ROADS outside the RNC,” he emphasized, echoing sentiments from others that this behavior would not be tolerated in Texas.
Carlos Turcios of the Dallas Express shared footage purportedly showing arrests of Antifa members after they allegedly attacked two individuals.
Turcios also posted a video depicting anti-Trump protesters encircling Christian counter-protesters.
Democrats are keen on flipping Congress to impede Republican initiatives. Current polling suggests they have a chance to gain enough seats in the House of Representatives, but Republicans are working hard to sway voters in the remaining weeks before Election Day.
