Vikings Player’s Wife Claims She Was ‘Heckled, Touched, and Called Names’ During Game Against Lions

Whitney Risner, wife of Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Dalton Risner, is accusing Detroit Lions fans of inappropriate and disrespectful behavior toward both Vikings and Minnesota team fans.

Risner recalled attending a game in Detroit last year and noted that the fans were extremely abusive, Fox News reported.

“Last year I wore a flashy purple jacket and I've never received so much heckling at an away game,” she said at the beginning of a video posted on social media.

@whitneymarierisnerrI'm so proud of my husband for completing his sixth regular season in the National Football League. Let's go to the playoffs!!!♬ Original song – Whitney Risner

More specifically, Risner added, “Little did I know that I would be heckled, groped, and called names by Detroit fans at last night's game.'' It's all because she was a Vikings fan.

Listener wasn't the only woman close to a Vikings player who infuriated Lions fans.

Taylor Sanders, who is currently dating Vikings linebacker Blake Cashman, also targeted Lions fans, claiming she heard them telling Vikings players to “get hurt.” did.

The Lions, one of only four teams in the NFL to never appear in the Super Bowl, finished the season as the No. 1 seeded team. This is the first time since the 1950s that Detroit has won back-to-back district championships. In fact, with last year's district title win over the LA Rams, Detroit broke a 31-year drought to win the division. (Other teams that have never appeared in a Super Bowl are the Browns, Jaguars, and Texans.)

Still, Lions fans consistently ranked It ranks near the top of worst NFL fans and often falls somewhere in the top five.

The abuse may not be over yet. Detroit could face the Vikings one more time in the playoffs this year.
