Vivian Kubrick, daughter of renowned filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, publicly criticized Erica Kirk, widow of the murdered conservative figure Charlie Kirk, and urged President Donald Trump to take drastic action against Turning Point USA.
“I’ve never seen such a patently false display as this speech by Erica,” Kubrick declared in a vehement post on X.
The 65-year-old went on to suggest that her background in the entertainment industry gives her insight into inauthenticity, labeling Erica Kirk a “threat to our nation.”
Kubrick further described Charlie Kirk’s widow, saying, “She comes off as military or intelligence. There’s definitely something sociopathic about her.” She expressed her strong aversion, stating that Erica’s presence visibly unsettles her.
“No one else has made my skin crawl the way Erica does,” she maintained, referring to Erica’s reaction to her husband’s suspected murderer and recalling a video of Erica grieving over Charlie’s lifeless body with dismay.
Kubrick later characterized the mourning video as “horrifying and sinister.”
“Mr. President, if we aim to succeed in the midterm elections, we must ‘kill’ @TPUSA and unite young patriots who are genuinely committed to America First,” she pressed.
“Please reconsider your connection with @TPUSA and this dismal situation with #ErikaKirk. Charlie represented TPUSA; no one else can take his place,” she appealed to Trump.
Responses on social media revealed a mix of sympathy and confusion. One user expressed frustration over the intense animosity directed at Erica Kirk: “Charlie cared for her, trusted her. It’s perplexing why there’s such disproportionate hatred towards her.”
Another comment pointed out the insensitivity of deriding a widow with young children following her husband’s assassination: “Is this really how we support women’s empowerment?”
Amid the commentary, one user provocatively suggested, “You must be a democrat,” implying double standards around criticism of TPUSA.
Another user remarked on what they deemed delusional behavior, indicating that such division could undermine the right’s efforts in the midterms.
One critic referenced Kubrick’s possible ties to Scientology, questioning her credibility and suggesting her father’s concerns about her direction in life before his death.
Some commenters even floated strange conspiracy theories regarding Erica and the president’s potential involvement in the assassination of Turning Point USA’s founder.
Reports indicated that Erica Kirk was navigating the challenges of continuing her husband’s legacy while grappling with her personal loss. New criticisms of Turning Point USA seemed to stem from unfamiliarity with its operations, particularly as many pressed against it due to the void left by Charlie Kirk.
