VP Kamala Harris Announces $750 Million for More Red Flag Laws

On Saturday, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and announced $2.5 billion would be dedicated to securing more red flag laws.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School was the scene of a tragedy on February 14, 2018, when an assailant armed with a legally purchased firearm opened fire, killing 17 people.

UPI reported that Harris made two announcements after touring the area of ​​the school where the attack occurred.

The first announcement was that the Biden administration was establishing the National Extreme Risk Protection Order Resource Center and providing $750 million in funding.

The second announcement was addressed to the state Legislature, urging them to use federal funds to secure red flag laws. Harris said 😛
