Walmart recalls Blackstone parmesan ranch seasoning across the country due to risk of serious infection.

Shoppers at Walmart across the country are being advised to discard specific containers of Parmesan Ranch seasoning due to a recall linked to potential salmonella contamination.

Blackstone Products, based in Providence, Utah, initiated a voluntary recall on May 15 after discovering that the milk powder used in their seasonings was previously recalled by California Dairies over salmonella concerns.

This particular milk powder went through a third-party manufacturer before being incorporated into Blackstone’s Parmesan Ranch seasoning. The Food and Drug Administration has provided details on the matter.

So far, there haven’t been any reports of illness associated with this recall.

The recall specifically affects Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning sold in 7.3-ounce containers labeled with product number #4106.

Consumers should look for lot number 2025-43282, with a “use by” date of July 2, 2027, and lot number 2025-46172, which expires on August 5, 2027, as well as lot number 2026-54751, marked with a best before date of August 12, 2027.

This product was available only at Walmart stores in the United States and on Blackstone’s official website.

Those who have purchased the recalled seasonings are strongly encouraged not to consume them and to dispose of them immediately.

Salmonella is particularly dangerous, especially for young children, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems.

Adults who fall ill from this bacteria may experience symptoms like fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort.

In rare situations, the infection can spread to the bloodstream, leading to severe complications such as arterial infections, endocarditis, and arthritis, according to the FDA.

For those seeking replacements or more information, Blackstone encourages consumers to reach out to them at 1-888-879-4610.

The Post has made inquiries to Blackstone Products for further comment.
