Walz: ‘I’ve Become Friends With School Shooters’

In what has been called the “worst line of the 2024 debate,” Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said he has become “friends” with school shooters.

In Tuesday's first and only vice presidential debate of the campaign, Walz (D-Minn.) stumped the internet when he answered a question about his changing position on the assault weapons ban.

“I was sitting in that office with the parents in Sandy Hook. I became friends with the school shooters. I saw them,” Walz said.

The Democratic congressman was probably trying to make friends with parents whose children were killed in school shootings, but the internet quickly mocked his rhetoric.

45th The president even asked Truth Social after the incident if Walz was “insane.”
