Walz’s ‘White Guy Tacos’ Comment, Harris’s Response Cause Firestorm From Critics

A Harris campaign video released on Thursday in which running mate Tim Walz can be seen talking straight about eating “white man tacos” has sparked criticism on social media.

Vice President Kamala Harris added fuel to the fire with a pointed response in a video that critics said “mocked” white people.

“I eat white guy tacos, and …” Walz says in a campaign video in which he and Harris discuss their favorite foods.

“What do you mean? Like mayonnaise and tuna? What are you doing?” Harris retorted sarcastically.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz sparked a fierce debate after Harris’ campaign released a video in which the two vice presidential candidates made comments about “white tacos,” infuriating critics.

Waltz responded that it’s “pretty much” just ground beef and cheese.

“That’s OK,” Harris added. “Are you adding any flavors?” she asked.

“Um, no,” Waltz replied, eliciting a chuckle from Harris.

The exchange did not sit well with Harris and Walz’s critics, who complained it was racist, while others highlighted the double standards revealed in the video and argued that Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio would face fierce criticism if he made similar comments about black people.

“Hey guys, it’s funny that white people don’t like Spice! It’s not racist at all! It’s just funny!” posted Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire.

“This is not cute. Waltz is being used as a clown to mock white people.” Fox News columnist David MarcusIf Waltz doesn’t like spicy food, that’s fine, but it has nothing to do with him being white.”

“Hispanics are not tacos,” said Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas. Regarding the statement.

Ian Howarth, a conservative speaker, author and podcast host, argued that Waltz’s comments “would spark riots if Republicans did it the other way around.”

“The Five”: Choose Kamala or you’re a racist!

“It’s crazy that no one cares when a presidential candidate casually makes blatantly racist remarks about white people,” said Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire. “Imagine if Donald Trump said ‘black tacos’ are made with fried chicken and watermelon. Nuclear meltdown.”

Others were particularly outraged by Harris’ comments in the video. Jack Posobiec They claimed Harris’ comments were intended to mock white people.

“Kamala’s campaign is currently making a video mocking white people for not seasoning their food. This is a popular anti-white meme online. This is not a myth,” Posobiec said.

Defenders of Harris and Walz praised the remarks and mocked critics who challenged them.

“They’re quick to rile up Democrats and say they’re overly sensitive,” Micah Effran, a political activist and executive committee member of the Texas Democratic Party, wrote in a post on X, accusing Daily Wire reporter Walsh of being infuriated by his comments.

Meanwhile, critics of former President Donald Trump continued to slam the president on Friday for sarcastically commenting on Thursday that the Presidential Medal of Freedom is better than the Congressional Medal of Honor because you don’t actually have to risk your life to earn it.

“Trump’s disgrace [sic] “A Medal of Honor recipient, our nation’s highest award for outstanding acts of valor, he deserves contempt and is unfit to hold public office,” Virginia Democratic congressional candidate Eugene Vindman said of Trump’s quip.
