Perez Hilton’s Troubling Livestream and Spiritual Crisis

This March, Perez Hilton, the well-known celebrity gossip blogger who became famous for his harsh critiques and sometimes controversial methods, publicly converted to Christianity following a severe bout of sepsis that nearly took his life. In a heartfelt declaration, he said he encountered God during his hospital stay and committed to reshaping his life—abandoning his hurtful tabloid practices, engaging with the Bible, attending church with his three children, and aiming to be a more involved father.

However, just last week, Hilton found himself in the hospital again after a TikTok livestream showed him in a disturbing state—naked, covered in blood, and engaging in self-harm. A significant audience witnessed this shocking event before TikTok cut the stream.

Almost immediately, questions arose about what led to this. Could it be related to his recent health struggles? Is it a sign of a spiritual battle? Or perhaps a deeper mental health issue?

In a recent episode of “Relatable,” host Allie Beth Stuckey discussed whether Hilton’s frightening livestream was a reflection of mental health crises or something more sinister, like demonic possession.

The Christian community has speculated that Hilton’s actions could indicate demonic activity. Stuckey is open to this idea, but only if Hilton’s conversion isn’t sincere. She argues that if he genuinely has embraced the Holy Spirit, he should be immune to demonic possession.

Still, observing Hilton’s behavior since his public conversion, she expresses doubts about his comprehension of the gospel.

Stuckey praises Hilton for his openness about being gay and points out a recent comment where he expresses skepticism toward everything written in the Bible, even branding his new spiritual product line as “Red Flags.”

Moreover, she highlights that self-inflicted harm is often depicted as a symptom of demonic influence in biblical texts. She doesn’t claim it means a person is always possessed but refers to instances in scripture, such as Jesus healing a boy who harmed himself and a man tormented by demons who cut himself with stones.

While the definitive cause of Hilton’s scary episode remains uncertain, Stuckey feels that the situation aligns with biblical accounts of demonic possession.

“What I witnessed during Perez Hilton’s livestream looked strikingly like demonic possession… The moment I read the description, it reminded me of the man possessed by Legion who wandered the graves while inflicting harm on himself,” she reflected.

If it’s accurate that Hilton was indeed possessed, Stuckey believes he may never have been saved at all.

“The Bible warns us about people who claim to accept Christ yet persist in unrepentant sin. An attitude of, ‘This is who I am. I know what the Bible states, but it doesn’t matter.’ If the Holy Spirit resides in someone, they wouldn’t maintain that mindset,” she asserts.

In her discussion, she quotes Hebrews 10:26-27, which talks about the consequences of willful sin after embracing the truth, culminating in fear of judgment.

“I can safely say the Holy Spirit does not dwell within Perez Hilton. He lacks the fruits of the Spirit, and we genuinely hope for better for him,” Stuckey remarks, inviting listeners to pray for Hilton and his children.
