Former President Trump, who formally accepted the Republican presidential nomination earlier this week, will hold his first rally since the assassination attempt a week ago.
The event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, will be the first campaign stop where Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) will join the former president after Trump announced him as his running mate on the first night of the Republican National Convention earlier this week.
Trump wore a bandage over his ear during the convention, a reminder of the bullet that grazed his ear at a rally outside Pittsburgh last weekend.
The former president currently leads Biden by just over 2 percentage points in the Great Lakes state, where Trump has 45.2 percent approval and the incumbent has 43.5 percent approval, according to The Hill/Decision Desk Polling Index. Biden won Michigan by fewer than 155,000 votes in 2020.
The event is scheduled to begin at 5pm EDT.
