Prime Video is set to launch a new original film, Head of State, just in time for the July 4th holiday.
Head of State features Idris Elba and John Cena in a gripping narrative where two global leaders go head-to-head. Cena portrays Will Dillinger, a former action star turned president, while Elba plays Sam Clark, the British Prime Minister and ex-SAS commando. The two men must join forces, along with MI6 agent Noel (played by Priyanka Chopra Jonas), when a looming international threat arises, risking global stability.

Head of State will be available on Prime Video at 3 AM on July 2nd (12 AM ET).

Since it’s an Amazon original, a Prime Video subscription is necessary. However, you can still watch Head of State for free if you’re not a subscriber yet. Amazon offers a 30-day free trial for new users. After that, the subscription is priced at $14.99 per month or $139 annually.
Interestingly, there’s a program aimed at younger viewers aged 18-24 that enables them to access Prime at a discounted rate. Initially available to students, this discount is now extended to all young adults, providing the service at half price ($7.49 monthly) after six months of a free trial, and it can last for up to six years.
