On MSNBC’s “The Last Word” aired on Friday, Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) said, “To be honest, we have to rely on the media to provide it.” And, “When there are people who say we’re not going to fact check, we’re not going to worry about whether you’re telling the truth or not.
“I think the message coming from the Democrats is a good message. Honestly, the question of having to rely on the media is that we need to communicate that,” Clyburn said. Washington Postfor example, when you create a cave on this aspiring dictator, there are other media entities that seem to push the narratives that turn to newspapers and television, and don’t really give us fair hearing or reporting what we’re doing. ”
He added: “I have to rely on the person I like. [guest host Ali Velshi]. You’re doing a great job with this. That’s why I like to come to your show on weekends. But when there are people who say we are not going to fact check, we are not going to worry about whether you are telling the truth or not. That’s what’s killing us as a Democrat. Because we don’t have a stomach to just lie. ”
