China has rare earth leverage in the US
China has threatened to cut off supply to rare earth metals in response to Trump’s tariffs, but media reports on the issue seem to overlook the most important questions we can ask at this time. Why do we rely on China for essential metals in the first place?
Rare Earth elements have special properties that are important to everything from smartphones to MRI machines, military loans and more. Reports say China has stopped exporting seven heavy rare earth metals and several rare earth magnets. CCP is clearly targeting the US Domestic Technology and Defense Industry.
