We saw Sabrina Carpenter live. Here’s what you can expect

Pick up “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” and listen.

Sabrina Carpenter is currently in the middle of her international Short and Sweet Tour, and from what I've seen online, she seems to be giving it her all at every show.

According to set list FMthe 25-year-old headliner typically performs an elaborate three-act, 21-song, 90-minute set that includes all of her biggest hits, including the aforementioned “Espresso” and “Please Please Please Please.”

But outside of Instagram clips and YouTube videos, it's hard to understand what Sabrina Carpenter's “Short and Sweet” show is really like.

Until now.

Angela Tricarico of the New York Post attended Carpenter's concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on September 30th and interviewed us.

“It was really cool because in the first act she was waking up and going about her day,” Tricarico said. “Then, the second act is the evening part of “Sabrina After Dark''.''The third act is further into the night, and “Espresso'' takes place the next morning. ”

Highlights of “Toricarico'' include the live debut of Carpenter's “Busy Woman.'' “Instead of doing a surprise cover, she performed that song, so I was like, “Surprise, my own song.'' “I'm covering it!'' and “Because I Like Added.'' boy. ”

“The show was really crazy,” Toricarico exclaimed. “It sounded really good.”

And yes, the crowd went wild for Carpenter's two biggest singles, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please Please.”

“Everyone sang these two songs out loud because everyone knew the lyrics,” she said with a smile. “Of course, Sabrina sang literally every song on the new album, and those two were towards the end.”

Most of all, Tricarico was impressed by the show's unique aesthetic.

“I loved her set,” she said. “It was like looking at the 1950s through a 1970s lens, like 'Grease.' They're doing the '50s in the '70s.”

Joining the petite performers on stage was an intricate backdrop complete with a bed, two floors, a bathroom, and more.

What else went down?

Well, you could tell them that, but then you'd be ruining the whole surprise and ruining a show that was really appealing to potential future attendees.

Instead, below are the important details you need to know about the rest of Sabrina Carpenter's 2024 “Short and Sweet Tour.”

Sabrina Carpenter's new song

On Friday, August 23, Carpenter released his sixth studio album, Short and Sweet.

At just 36 minutes, the record is short and sweet, but also sassy and sexy. This is a huge step forward for the up-and-coming pop star. In our estimation, the sonically adventurous album has traces of folk, R&B, synth rock, and country lined up.

Other than the ubiquitous peppy “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” standout tracks include the downbeat, chillwave-esque “Don't Smile,” and the charming “Slim Pickins,” which is definitely a “low-key” song. ) may be included. ) and smug “taste”.

Don't fall asleep to the dreamy, Olivia Rodrigo-esque “Lie To Girls.” The urgent lyrics also touch your heart. “You don't have to lie to girls/If they like you/They just lie to themselves.” That will keep rattling around in our heads for months without rent, and for good reason. That's amazing.

Amaarae

The 30-year-old R&B diva has released two studio albums, 2020's The Angel You Don't Know and 2023's Fountain Baby.

If you haven't heard her songs before, you might want to start with her smashing “Sad Gurlz Luz Money,” then try the brave “Angels In Tibet” and smooth “sweeeet.” Recommended.
