Jason Whitlock Discusses “Citizen Vigilante”
Jason Whitlock, a host on Blaze TV, offers a critical view of the film “Citizen Vigilante,” suggesting it falls short of classic cinematic standards.
He clarifies that the film’s intentions don’t revolve around storytelling or stellar performances.
In his words, “Citizen Vigilante is not a movie. It doesn’t concern itself with the story, the plot, acting, or even the script. It’s essentially not a good movie.” Instead, he views it as a “provocative political statement.”
Whitlock interprets this statement as being against illegal immigration, multiculturalism, and Islam, asserting that it “captures the anger many people in America and Europe feel.” While he doesn’t see it as cinema, he emphasizes the importance of its political messaging.
He notes, “When this movie is released and gains support from figures like Elon Musk, it directs the conversation towards certain themes and stirs emotions among white audiences globally. That, to me, is significant.” Whitlock identifies with an “anti-multicultural” sentiment.
He argues that “not all cultures hold equal value, and we sometimes accept chaotic or non-law-abiding ones because we’re told diversity is beneficial.”
Reflecting on his younger days, he recalls how a melting pot perspective seemed appealing then. “Now that I feel more mature, I’ve come to think that not everything belongs in that pot. Some elements can be harmful,” he states.
He mentions that while media often seeks to “denounce our tribalism,” “Citizen Vigilante” ironically champions it. “That’s essentially what ‘Citizen Vigilante’ conveys,” Whitlock explains. “It highlights and justifies our tribal affiliations.”
