Wendy Williams Steps Out Amid Health Challenges

Wendy Williams was recently spotted heading out for dinner with friends at the well-known New York restaurant Tucci. This outing comes after her diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia and aphasia was reaffirmed.

Even with her recent cognitive tests, Williams seemed to be in high spirits during the evening.

This past week, she underwent another set of cognitive evaluations as part of her ongoing health battle. While the official results are still pending, it has been confirmed that her original diagnosis stands.

However, sources have mentioned that Williams has not yet verified the accuracy of these test results.

Her cognitive functioning has become a key topic, especially as she has been actively seeking a way to end her guardianship this year. The 61-year-old, known for her role on “Masked Singer,” was placed under guardianship by a New York judge in 2022 due to concerns raised by Wells Fargo regarding suspicious account activity. They recommended the arrangement to shield her from potential financial exploitation.

Williams has expressed her belief that she does not require this guardianship and has voiced her dissatisfaction with her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.

She has gained considerable support from fans, many of whom have rallied for her freedom, even holding protests advocating to end her guardianship.

In this fight, Williams has also received backing from her family, including her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter. Just recently, Hunter filed a substantial $250 million lawsuit against Morrissey in an effort to terminate the guardianship that affects Williams. Sources noted that Hunter’s action was also to represent his son, who felt he had been pressured by the court in this matter.
