Charlie Kirk Remembered on His 33rd Birthday

On what would have marked Charlie Kirk’s 33rd birthday, many high-profile figures and supporters shared their tributes online, including mentions from the White House.

His widow, Erika Kirk, who now leads Turning Point USA, the conservative organization he founded, also honored him with a heartfelt post on social media.

“I thank God for your life. For the years He entrusted you to this earth… even though it didn’t deserve you. For the love that He allowed me to know so deeply as your wife,” she wrote.

“You always had a way of making even the ordinary moments in life feel like a glimpse of Heaven. And to that, and much more babe, I’ll forever celebrate you,” she continued. “How blessed I am that God gave me a once-in-a-lifetime love that I will spend the rest of my life thanking Him for. I can’t even imagine how many scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream you’re having in Heaven since calories don’t count up there, but down here, we’ll still save a scoop for you. Happy birthday baby.”

Her tribute also featured a montage of videos capturing moments of joy, such as Charlie and Erika holding hands, smiling, playing football, hiking, and just living their lives together.

Charlie Kirk, the founder of TPUSA, was tragically killed during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025, at just 31 years old. Following his death, Erika took over the leadership of his organization.

Known for his political activism, Charlie was recognized by many in the White House and had close ties with Vice President JD Vance.

During a rally in Arizona, President Donald Trump acknowledged Charlie’s birthday, describing him as “a great man and a great friend of mine,” while the crowd chanted his name.

“Today, on what would have been his 33rd birthday, our Nation honors the loving memory of Charlie Kirk – a father, husband, Christian martyr, & titan of the conservative movement,” the White House shared. “We renew our resolve to always defend our principles of truth, faith, & the open exchange of ideas.”

The White House also released a video showcasing Charlie’s impactful moments, with his own words echoing throughout.

“Take that risk, take that leap of faith, stay involved, trust God and act obediently,” Charlie had once said.

Just over a month after his passing, on his last birthday, President Trump awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Erika on Charlie’s behalf, which she described at the time as the “best birthday gift he could ever have.”

“One year ago today, on National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk, President Donald J. Trump chose to award Charlie the highest civilian honor in America: the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” TPUSA remarked. “After reflecting on Charlie’s lasting legacy, President Trump presented Erika Kirk with the medal that represents our nation’s gratitude for her husband’s service to America and our constitutional freedoms.”

“The extraordinary impact Charlie had on our country stemmed from his fearless determination, bold courage, and desire to create change – both in the lives of those he met and for the future of our great country,” the organization added. “Turning Point USA will continue to embody the same spirit as we keep fighting, keep growing, and keep Charlie’s legacy alive for future generations.”
