Susie Wiles Recognized by Forbes as a Powerful Figure
White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has made it onto Forbes’ 2025 list of the World’s Most Powerful Women, notably being the only American woman in politics to earn this distinction.
At 68, Wiles was appointed by President Donald Trump as the first female chief of staff in January. She played a key role in his re-election as Co-Campaign Manager during the 2024 presidential race.
In the recent Forbes ranking, Wiles placed #66 among 100 influential women.
In July, President Trump lauded her, suggesting that she might be “the most powerful person in the world.” His comment seems to echo her previous #72 spot on the same list from 2024.
“They just voted her the most powerful woman anywhere in the world. Hasn’t she done a good job?” Trump remarked.
Reactions from Florida politicians have flooded social media, praising Wiles for her achievement.
“Well-deserved recognition for my dear friend and fellow Floridian, Susie Wiles,” tweeted Representative Mario-Diaz Balart (R-Fla.). “Her leadership, dedication, and integrity continue to make a lasting impact. Congratulations!”
“Huge congrats to Susie Wiles for being named to Forbes’ World’s Most Powerful Women 2025!” Representative Maria-Elvira Salazar (R-Fla.) added. “A true trailblazer in politics: first woman to serve as White House Chief of Staff, who has helped numerous campaigns since the ’70s.”
Education Secretary Linda McMahon and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also extended their congratulations on this recognition.
Wiles’ loyalty to Trump stretches back to his 2016 campaign when she took on the role of Florida campaign chairwoman. She was later appointed as chair for Governor Ron DeSantis’s (R-Fla.) campaign in 2018. During Trump’s 2020 campaign, as the outlook in Florida seemed grim, he was encouraged to bring Wiles back, who was instrumental in fundraising efforts post-election.
Other prominent women who are ranked below Wiles include Judith Suminwa Tuluka, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo at #78, Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah at #79, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen at #84.
