Who Secured a Spot at Trump’s Crypto Dinner?

According to a guest list shared by a New York Times article and social media, President Trump’s invitations for his cryptocurrency business clients included a Chinese billionaire who is currently facing lawsuits stemming from a dispute with a former basketball player.

The dinner President Trump mentioned was quite the spectacle, showcasing how he leveraged his position for financial gain.

Interestingly, the attendees hadn’t previously met each other. They were identified solely by the pseudonyms linked to their $ Trump Memecoin held in electronic wallets. Most invitations were awarded to the top 220 holders of that memocoin over time. The leading 25 received VIP perks, which included more exclusive gatherings and an unofficial White House tour the following Friday.

As the event transitioned from a digital to a physical setting, the guests arrived at Trump’s club near Washington. Their names and contact details were verified at the entrance from a handwritten list. A Times reporter examined one of these lists to identify attendees. Some guests even revealed their presence on social media. Reporters and photographers from the Times noted these crypto investors visiting the White House the next day.

Among those present at the event was:

Justin Sun, the Chinese crypto billionaire currently embroiled in a lawsuit from the Securities and Exchange Commission under President Biden, has allegedly inflated the cryptocurrency’s value. Sun is also a significant investor in another crypto venture associated with a company primarily connected to World Liberty Financial’s Trump. After Trump’s administration began, the SEC requested a delay in the proceedings against Sun, which the judge denied. He had no comments following the event on Thursday evening.
