The wife of a witness in the 2019 impeachment trial of President Donald Trump downplayed the second assassination attempt on Sunday afternoon.
“Your ears are fine. Enjoy your Sunday afternoon,” said Rachel Vindman, Alexander Vindman's wife. Post to X.
This works: The post infuriated Republican strategist and Trump campaign adviser Chris LaCivita, who called on the candidate to condemn his wife's comments.
“Her husband… is a candidate for VA7… and should be condemned immediately,” LaCivita said. Post to XThey mistook Alexander Vindman for his brother, Eugene Vindman, who is running for an open seat in Virginia's 7th Congressional District.
The seat is being vacated by Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.).
