A group of pro-Palestinian protesters swarmed John F. Kennedy International Airport on Monday, temporarily blocking a nearby highway and causing delays, according to footage and multiple reports.
The video footage posted on Twitter includes group Many cars collided on the highway as New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers stood in front directing traffic. Footage showed cars with pro-Palestinian messages such as “Intifada,” “Fuck Israel” and “Long Live the Resistance” as passengers shouted various chants. “NYPD, KKK, IDF, you're all the same,” demonstrators shouted in one of the videos.

“If anyone is flying out of JFK Airport today, please make plans to get to the airport in advance. There are protests scheduled today and delays may occur. We also don't want you to miss your flight. We wish you safe travels and a Happy New Year,” Rivera said.

Secondary video footage on Twitter showed staff guarding entrances and exits at JFK Airport, allowing only those with employee identification and boarding passes to enter. Within Our Lifetime said in a social media post that the “closure” of the airport entrance was a “victory.”
