A 20-year-old woman fought off a creepy man who punched her in the face and tried to rape her on a Queens subway platform as security guards intervened in the disturbing attack, authorities said.
Police said they followed the woman from the F train, which had just stopped at Jamaica’s 169th Street Station, around 12:10 a.m. Saturday.
Once inside the mezzanine, the man punched her multiple times in the face as she fell to the ground and covered her head to block the barrage of gunfire, police said.
Police said the victim struggled to fend off the attack and screamed loudly, drawing the attention of station security.
A security guard “intervened” and the assailant ran out of the station toward 168th Avenue, but details about whether the security guard interacted with the suspect were not immediately available, authorities said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where his condition is said to be stable.
The suspect, who had not been captured by Thursday, was 5 feet 10 inches tall and was last seen wearing a white tank top, light blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and orange and white sneakers. That’s what it means.
