Authorities are searching for a woman accused of murdering her father, who was discovered zip-tied in a shallow grave about a month after he disappeared.
Isabelle Rose Johnson, 38, is reportedly avoiding law enforcement as she is wanted for the murder of 43-year-old Jason Coultart. His body was located on June 25 at a site in Freeport, on Florida’s Panhandle, as noted by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Coultart was reported missing on May 24, and his remains were found with a zip tie around his neck, buried under concrete, with a black Cadillac parked on top, as per reports.
Law enforcement indicates that Johnson may be using various aliases while evading capture, including Hurley, Jessica Elaine Bowman, and Jessica Dowdy, among others.
The Sheriff’s Office recently announced on Facebook that the reward for information leading to her capture has increased from $6,000 to $11,000, stating simply, “Justice is Coming.” One post even urged Johnson to turn herself in, saying, “You can call me whatever you want now. Enough is enough.”
Johnson is known to have a history of fraud and is considered potentially dangerous. She has connections to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida and areas in Georgia and southern Alabama.
According to the sheriff’s office, Johnson often manipulates people’s sympathy to garner help, recounting tales of personal struggles, such as domestic violence, to solicit rides, money, or other assistance.
Coultart, who is also the father of a 20-year-old son and originally from New Jersey, had his relationship with Johnson remain unclear, along with the motives behind the homicide.
Police have arrested five other individuals in connection with the case but haven’t disclosed any specifics about their roles.
Johnson is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Investigators suspect she may have altered her appearance recently, possibly cutting and dyeing her hair. She has a flower tattoo near her left thumb and index finger, and another tattoo believed to be on her right ankle.
