Two friends made the man’s day by taking him on a helicopter ride as a “thank you” for his hard work.
Paige Goldstein and Chantelle Wright are in their 20s and currently working remotely and traveling the world.
SWNS reported that the two, who now live in Cape Town, South Africa, had been talking to a man named Kasa, who works as a security guard at their apartment, about a previous helicopter trip they had taken.

During the discussion, Casa told the girls that she had never been on a helicopter, much less on a plane.
So, on Casa’s next day off, his friends invited him to a surprise meeting and took him to a helipad for an amazing helicopter experience over his hometown.

Goldstein, who is from Boston, Massachusetts, told SWNS that the two “got to know him and thought it would be a nice gesture.”
“He said he wanted to pass this on to his future grandchildren.”
Casa, a world traveler, said he was shocked by the once-in-a-lifetime experience.

“He seemed so happy and had a big smile on his face the whole time,” she said.

All three hopped into a helicopter and took in the beautiful scenery of Cape Town. Mr. Goldstein noted that Mr. Casa sometimes pointed to the apartment building where he worked.
“Helping him see Cape Town from a different perspective was really special,” she told SWNS.

The pair said they enjoy giving something back for all the work Casa does for travelers.
Goldstein added, “I think it’s very rewarding to travel to places where you can connect and build relationships with local people.”

After the helicopter ride, the three went out for celebratory drinks, and Goldstein told SWNS that Casa told him he would never forget the day.

“He said he wanted to pass this on to his future grandchildren,” she recalls.
Goldstein and Wright appear on a podcast called Fill Your Sol, in which three women around the world discuss their choices to travel while working remotely.
