Joe Hendry: From Wrestling Champion to Chart-Topping Musician

Joe Hendry, known for his time as a WWE NXT champion and a Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) champion, made headlines with a surprise appearance at WrestleMania in 2025 against Randy Orton. However, who could have guessed he would also emerge as a successful musician? If you had that on your bingo card, congratulations!

This week, Hendry released his new album, “Beyond Belief,” featuring eleven tracks. In an interview, he shared that he has been performing live since childhood, even before he pursued a career in professional wrestling.

“It’s been an incredibly rewarding journey. It’s very exciting. Releasing ‘I Believe in Joe Hendry’ as a single was fun, but making a full album is a whole different endeavor. It’s a significant commitment for our fans and music lovers,” he explained. “I truly appreciate everyone taking the time to listen and purchase it. The response has been humbling.”

Interestingly, Hendry composed the album in just 34 days. Initially, WWE Music suggested he produce a song about The Miz, but that idea evolved into what became a full album.

One standout track on “Beyond Belief” addresses his ongoing feud with Logan Paul, which he has performed live on “Monday Night Raw.” Hendry recalled getting about a week’s notice to create the song for his debut on Raw. A shift in storyline meant he had to change the lyrics along the way.

“I found out I would debut on the Raw after WrestleMania, so I had a week’s notice. It was originally going to be ‘Raw, Raw, Joe Hendry signed to Raw,’ but then there was a delay in announcing my appearance,” he said. “With that change, I had to pivot and target someone. I figured, why not go after the biggest name in the room—Logan Paul?”

Hendry mentioned that despite Paul’s disdain for the song, he has no intention of letting up. “He obviously hates it. It expresses a truth: ‘Logan Paul should be fired.’ We know this, and it’s crucial to the album. Having a platform like mine means I should use it for something meaningful, and trying to get Logan fired feels like a mission I won’t abandon,” he stated.

Artificial intelligence has been on the rise in the music industry, capable of generating melodies or even entire songs. Yet, Hendry believes in the authenticity of human creation over machines. “I trust myself over a machine. I can distinguish between AI-generated music and what’s crafted by a human—it’s a skill I’ve honed,” he said. “Of course, there are helpful tools, but when it comes to actual songwriting, I’m sticking with my own abilities.”

He’s not alone in exploring music within WWE. Liv Morgan and Alexa Bliss have also ventured into song releases, with Morgan’s “Trouble” even becoming her entrance music. Hendry expressed openness to collaborations but noted complexities with Morgan due to her ties with The Judgment Day, a faction he often clashes with.

Recently, Hendry shared on social media that his album was climbing the iTunes charts, reaching as high as No. 2 on one listing. It’s a clear indication that people are starting to remember and appreciate Joe Hendry’s multifaceted talents.
