The Yankees and Orioles are locked in a fierce battle for the American League East title this season.

FanDuel Sportsbook has the Yankees half a game behind the Orioles heading into Tuesday's game and are listed as -140 odds to win the division, with Baltimore at +140.
The Yankees got off to a good start to the season and were the favorites to win the American League East, but they lost momentum in the summer and the Orioles rejoined the championship race.
Baltimore was ahead of the Bombers on most odds boards in early July, but has since managed to climb back up to the top of the list.
Before the season began, the Yankees were given a slight edge in winning the division in 2023, even though the Orioles would win 101 games and take the division title.
The two teams are scheduled to play three games in the Bronx from Sept. 24-26 that could ultimately determine the division champion.
Regardless of who wins, both teams will be heard in October.
The Orioles are 9.5 games up in the American League Wild Card race, making them (and the Yankees) a near-certain contender for the postseason.

They are also the top two favorites in the junior circuit, with the Yankees at +240 to win the AL, followed by the Orioles at +320.
The Astros, expected to lead the AL West, have the third-best odds to win the AL championship at +340, followed by the Guardians (+600) and Twins (+650).
