Foley J. Smith claimed he was kicked off the plane because he refused to sit next to a masked passenger.
The “Yellowstone” actor shared his story in an Instagram video to his 500,000 followers when he was stranded at the airport in Houston, Texas.
“Hear this story,” he captioned the short clip, along with the hashtags #cowboy #country #western #yellowstone #yellowstonetv.
“I know people on social media say they like me to my face, but I know I can’t say what I want to my face,” Smith began.
“I just got kicked off a plane…where the hell am I, Houston, Texas? Because I said I didn’t feel comfortable sitting next to someone wearing a mask.”
Smith went on to say: I sat at the airport for three hours. Hey, I’m drinking. I’m not drunk, but they throw me off the plane because I’m drunk, because you guys don’t stand up and tell everyone what this is.
“I just told them that I don’t feel comfortable sitting next to someone who has to wear a mask. So I’m getting off the plane.”
It is not clear which airline Smith was traveling on or why he was removed from the plane.
A representative for Smith did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
In 2022, Smith was forced to skip the Screen Actors Guild Awards due to strict rules requiring guests to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
Organizers required participants not only to be vaccinated, but also to have a booster shot and a negative coronavirus test taken within 48 hours of the show. Attendees were also required to wear masks.
“I want to apologize to everyone for not being able to attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards,” Smith told her Instagram followers in a since-deleted video. “I have no ill will toward anyone. I am not vaccinated, but it is imperative that I get vaccinated.”
He added: “I will not be vaccinated.” I have not been vaccinated since childhood. I do not vaccinate dogs or horses. I have never received a flu shot. never. I think they impair your immunity. ”
Smith, who plays Lloyd Pierce in the series, said he had planned to walk the red carpet at the awards show, but “I don’t believe in that.”
