Former President Donald Trump may have survived an assassination attempt, but it doesn’t appear the Secret Service had much to do with it.
“Donald Trump is alive by the grace of God, not by the help of Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle.” Sara Gonzalez “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered” author says:
Not only is Cheatle refusing to resign, he is blaming others for what happened on the day the former president narrowly escaped with his life.
“There was local police in the area working the perimeter of the building,” Cheatle told ABC News in an interview, adding, “We’ve been told the shooter has in fact been identified as a possible suspect.”
“At the very least, we can be thankful that she was so stupid that we thought it was prudent to point that out,” Gonzalez says. “I mean, we were that incompetent. We identified him. I mean, he managed to fire the gun, he managed to get on the roof, he managed to get away unscathed.”
When the director was interviewed by ABC News, the reporter asked her, “Who is responsible for this happening?”
“The Secret Service is responsible for protecting former presidents,” Cheatle replied, to which the reporter asked, “So, are you responsible?”
“I take responsibility. I am the director of the Secret Service. This was unacceptable and should never happen again,” she said, later adding, “I intend to remain in my position.”
Gonzalez can’t believe the woman plans to stay in her current position.
“First, Cheatle is clearly underqualified, a nepotism hire and a DEI employee,” Gonzalez said, adding that insiders told the New York Post that it was Jill Biden’s chief adviser, Anthony Bernal, who tapped her for the director role.
Cheatle was previously a member of Vice President Joe Biden’s security force and has held a series of management positions, including deputy director of security operations, where he oversaw the budget.
“Someone in charge of finances would know how to keep people from dying,” Gonzalez scoffed, adding, “She’s a secretary in name only, who knew someone who knew someone who was connected to someone else.”
The director also blamed the “sloping roof” for the accident.
“That building in particular has a sloped roof at the highest point and for safety reasons, they didn’t want people on a sloped roof so the decision was made to protect the building from the inside,” she told ABC News in an interview.
“We saw the counter-snipers on the sloped roof behind Donald Trump,” Gonzalez said. “The whole point of the Secret Service is to put themselves in danger to save those they are protecting.”
