Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed a scathing gaffe by President Biden in which he referred to him as his arch rival, Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“This is a mistake. I think the United States has given Ukraine a lot of support. I think we can forget about some mistakes,” Zelenskiy told reporters at Ireland’s Shannon airport on Saturday, where he was in the country for talks with Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris.

Amid growing questions about his cognitive abilities, Biden made a gaffe at a NATO news conference on Thursday but quickly corrected himself.
“I’m focused on defeating Putin,” Biden said ad lib. “You’re much better than that,” he added.
During the event, he also mistook Vice President Harris for Donald Trump.
Since his disastrous debate performance last month, Biden has faced a flurry of calls from Democrats, donors and Hollywood stars to drop out of the race, though the president has stressed he has no plans to drop out.
